Very rare and uncommon Japanese Vintage Cast Iron Crane Bird painted to resemble Red Crown crane with "fish" in mouth.

Stand on flat floor or desk just fine/

Marked "Japan" on bottom of torso and bottom of foot. Also stamped "BA" on bottom of torso.

Unclear when it was painted with very dark green paint and a red spot on top of head.

Surface rust throughout, definitely adds to the "look"

Otherwise great used vintage condition.
