These Set of three lovely souvenir doll purses are from the 1930's to 1960's One has a label made in Italy. The other labels may have been lost over the years.

I purchased these dolls from an antique shop many years ago. I was informed they depicted film stars at the time.

The pressed dolls heads  have beautiful hand painted faces, mohair wigs in different styles.

two of the dolls have matching straw hats.The other doll may have lost her hat.

They are wearing natural woven straw dresses , with puffy sleeves straw collars and cumber bands,

The natural straw skirts double as a purse with metal zipper and is lined.

Straw hand straps are sewn to the back. One has a cloth tag which reads Made in Italy.

18cm tall

Please note the larger doll has a few stray straws  at the base as seen in photo but certainly in very good condition for their age.
