The Caterpillar Line, 1939, originally published by Caterpillar Tractor Co., Peoria, Illinois, 1939. Reproduced by Nation Builder Books, Mebane, NC, 2012. 11 x 8½ (landscape) paperback, 31 pages.

This is a new, photoduplicated reproduction of the original ad. Originals in as good condition as the original is, as you know, would easily fetch much more than $100.00, probably more like $200.00

This great piece of Caterpillar literature as been reproduced in black and white, because the only color in it is a light green background on each page. You can see the green background in the picture of the cover, which is reproduced in color, and in the scan of a reprint juxtaposed with the original page of the No. 22 Grader.

This booklet covers the full Caterpillar line, with a full page devoted to each piece of equipment:

Pages 26 to 28 provide pictures and specifications for Caterpillar stationary diesel engines D1300, D1100, D8800, D6600, D7700, D4600 and D4400.

Pages 29 through 30 provide pictures and specifications for Caterpillar marine diesel engines D11000, D17000, D13000, D17000, and D4400.

The second page is a full page photo of the East Peoria plant, with the Illinois River and downtown Peoria in the background.

Please note that this is a PHOTOCOPIED reproduction of the 1939 original. The accompanying images were scanned from a reprint, not the original.
