Agar-Agar, sometimes referred to as kanten, is a gelling agent coming from South East Asian seaweed. Agar has no calories, no carbs, no sugar, and no fat and is loaded with fiber. It’s free from starch, soy, corn, gluten, yeast, wheat, milk, egg and preservatives. Agar is the perfect substitute to traditional gelatin. It’s made from a plant source rather than from an animal one that makes it suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets, and other diet restrictions. Agar has no taste, no odor and no color, which makes it pretty convenient to use. It sets more firmly than gelatin, and stays firm even when the temperature heats up.

Telephone brand is the most often-used brand of agar powder in Thailand and US. It’s also the most reliable and the easiest to use. It should be dissolved in a liquid, before you add other ingredients, like sugar, coloring agents, fruits or vegetables.

 Instruction: 
- Agar Agar powder 25 g. can be mixed with water 3 kgs or 3 litres for cooking. - Cook until boiling when Agar Agar powder completed soluble, add sugar and coconut milk or food colour as you need.
- Pour in mold and leaved it cool for coagulation.
