Vintage Raggedy Ann 23” Doll CLOWN w/sewn-on Heart & Blonde Wig, Unique & Rare

Condition is Used. We believe this one to be made prior to the 1960’s. Clothes look vintage, wig is sewn on rather than glued on which started in the 1960’s. A clown raggedy Ann doll isn’t something necessarily new, but a pom pom nose is certainly not standard. Most raggedy Ann dolls have A triangular nose. This one has a sewn on heart under its outfit; that could be felt if someone pushed on the outside of its clothes. Really old original dolls have either wooden hearts or tin ones. This dog was probably produced between 1940 and 1960. We tried to research the manufacture; possibly the Knickerbocker toy company produced this or Georgene novelties? We just could not find another similar example; possibly this doll was a prototype from one of the major companies. We do not believe it was handmade by an individual.
