Maintenance Boxes are the Epsons answer to the waste ink problem and work in much the same way as our Printer Potty products in that they collect the waste ink.

Unlike our other Printer Potty products the original products are intended as single use, and track a guesstimated waste ink level via the chip attached to the box.

It is important to check that your printer is compatible with this specific unit as there are more than one type of maintenance box available, each with specific chip and/or physical compatibility limitations. If in doubt please contact us before ordering.

 

Note:

If you are a very heavy user and going through these at an accelerated rate then you might want to consider our chip resetter product for these units as a way of replacing the pads, while retaining the waste box and thus reducing your plastic and electronic waste.

Resetting

These units include a chip which starts empty and increments as per normal. The chip stores the waste ink level and it is not possible to use the WICReset or any other reset software utility to reset the chip.

It is possible to reset the chip using a compatible hardware reset tool (available separately) but these tools are really only economical for users who generate a lot of waste ink (Dye Sublimation printers, etc) and you still need to replace the waste ink pads.

Warranty & Returns Policy

Product Warranty

  • Product includes a 1 year warranty that covers manufacturing defect such as chip failure (not recognised, etc..).
  • If you have any questions about warranty cover please contact us, preferably before purchase.

Please note that our warranty does not cover issues resulting from mishandling, deliberate damage, or end-user modification, etc...

Returning Products

Before requesting a return, please contact us with details of any concern/problem you have regarding your order. We are often able to resolve any difficulties quickly when given the opportunity to do so.

In the rare event where a return is required:

  • Please request authorisation and wait for confirmation, from OctoInkjet, BEFORE returning the item.
  • Any product returned without prior authorisation and/or improperly packed, may be rejected.
  • Please ensure you are returning the correct item (Note: where relevant, product serial numbers are noted prior to dispatch).
  • Return of duplicate/alternate item will be rejected and reported.
