A very rare and collectable 1737 OVID Metamorphoses Libri XV in Original Latin & Leather bound Greek Roman Myths. The Metamorphoses is an 8 AD Latin narrative poem by the Roman poet Ovid, considered his magnum opus. Comprising 11,995 lines, 15 books and over 250 myths, the poem chronicles the history of the world.

Condition: Full leather bound, blind tooling to boards, marks, wear and rubbing as shown; chipping and loss to base of spine; front board delicate; verso endpaper with ink marks, recto torn with loss; a few ink markings including to title page; variable age toning, staining, pages are generally clean; rear free endpaper lacking, damage to pasted endpaper.
