IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

If you have a post facelift mk1 TT with a standard knob which is different from the

pictures & would like to keep your existing knob when purchasing the full or 'H' gate only kits...

you will have to shorten the knob slightly by cutting/removing a small section from the

bottom of the knob in order for it not to touch the top surface of the metal 'H' plate.

This can be achieved easily by using a hacksaw.

Also... Please Note: The gear stick may rub slightly against certain edges

whilst going into certain gears... but this has only been reported on a few models over

the past 4 years. Due to the nature of the gear sync, it would be impossible for each gear to sit

freely within each gate... so please bare this in mind before purchasing that you may encounter

slight friction from the 'H' plate when putting it into certain gears

( some of our customers carefully filed or adapted their plates as so it doesn't rub

as much which worked a treat for them ) We also include an extra optional additional

spacer with the full kit which should aid in reducing & hopefully eliminating any rubbing.

Some other previous customers (only 1% over the course of 5 years) have reported that they are unable to select (for common instance) 1st gear after they fitted the kit. Stating that it's as if the metal plate is situated too far to the left and how the 'H' gate cut out seems like it's offset by 2-3mm bias to the left. This could be due to a number of various reasons... for instance... the vehicle may have had the gear linkage previously replaced by 1 of the previous owners... or the centre console (where the kit is actually bolted to) may have been unbolted or moved in the past, then re-bolted back up but more bias to 1 side... or, the whole gear box and tree/selector may have been removed or replaced in the past. Regardless of why... there are a few options (which have resolved the issue 9 times out of 10 by previous buyers raising this issue) to try and realign it.

1: Unbolt as much of the centre console as you can, then push/shove the centre console with a bit of force to whichever side it needs to be shifted in (usually to the right) then ensure to hold and keep the pressure on as you re-bolt the centre console down. Hopefully you manage to shift the centre console over by a couple of millimetres before you bolted it back down. This option usually resolves the issue.

Alternatively...

2: The surrounding bolt holes on the metal gear plate can be opened up slightly by using a slightly larger drill bit. This would allow you to shift the gear plate more bias to the right before bolting it down. This should give you a minimal amount of movement, but just the right amount required to resolve the issue.

So please do bare in mind that these kits are not a perfect fit for every single MK1 Audi TT on the planet... you hopefully might be 1 of the lucky 99% and have no issues once you've fitted the kit... but you might also be 1 of the unlucky 1%. Just please... allow us the opportunity to try and resolve any issues you may have prior to leaving us negative feedback or opening a return case straight away. Just because your specific model is slightly out of alignment does not mean that our kits are faulty. Customer satisfaction is always paramount... so if you are not happy, then we aren't either! We will always endeavour to resolve any issues you may have. If we have tried every possible option to resolve your issue without success... then we will always happily accept a return in exchange for a full refund (as long as we receive the kit back in a resalable condition)

We have also recently decided to make all of our products more eco-friendly...

so we are now 3D printing our spacers for the 'H' gate only kit in-house using a

biodegradable PLA material, which is just as strong as acrylic, but doesn’t take thousands

of years to decompose. Due to the natural processes of 3D printing... the top and bottom

surface of the spacer is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but... the edges (which are the only

part seen once the kit is fitted) are perfectly smooth. We have added a few pictures to the listing

to show you exactly how the spacers will now look. Being able to 3D print our spacers in house

has also allowed us to reduce the price of each kit too... which is always great news for our customers.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information... or if you need any help or

tips on how to fit your kit. We are always here to help and we are always

dedicated to ensuring ALL of our customers are happy with their product... thankyou :)
