Solanum centrale, commonly known as the bush tomato or desert raisin.

A species endemic to the arid parts of Australia.

Useful as a tub specimen and grows best in well drained sandy soil.

Flowers & Bush tucker

Purple flowers followed by green fruit which turns yellow when ripe.

Fruit dries on the shrub, high in vitamin C and looks like raisins with a strong smell of caramel.

Very popular and used in a variety of dishes.
