The repaired components will be sent back to you tested to make sure they can be re-installed in your cooktop and work like new again.  You will never be required to send in the whole appliance, and never the glass top.

If after examination the components can not be repaired (very rare), you will be refunded the purchase price of the service, you can also be refunded the return shipping if you don't want the defective non repairable components back, else you still pay for the return shipping for the boards that can not be repaired.  Please note that attempting repairs yourself on the components often means that further damage may be done, and then they sometimes can't be serviced.  NEVER let appliance techs take your original broken parts if you want to ever fix your appliance cost effectively later!

Turn around time: once the part(s) arrive at my office/lab in Ottawa via your shipping method add 1-2 business days for the refurbishing and then shipping back to you via Canada Post Expedited Parcel.

  1. To clarify this listing does not supply an item, you supply the broken part(s) from the broken appliance and I supply the repair service on those boards, including troubleshooting.
  2. Buyer pays for initial shipping to Ottawa Canada out of pocket outside of eBay.  (local drop off welcome if chosen in checkout)  Tracked postage recommended. 
  3. Buyer also pays for shipping back the repaired boards to them which is INCLUDED in the eBay listing price when you purchase.
  4. The part(s) sent in must be complete, with damaged components in their original locations.
  5. By using this repair service you agree not to take measures to reverse engineer the repair process by; marking components, boards, or modifying them prior to repair, or by any other means.  If reverse engineering measures are detected your components may not be repaired due to a violation of this agreement.  Additionally you agree not to publish or share with any 3rd party information learned on component/board/assembly repair by examining the changes made as part of this repair.  You are of course free and encouraged to review the quality of the service, share your overall experience, and to provide links to this service to others.
  6. Components that have previous repair attempts on them will definitely require an additional $40 charge to process if we opt to attempt the repair.


After purchasing the service please contact us with your appliance Model Number, Symptoms and any error codes so we can assess whether the part(s) will be serviceable and what you may need to sent in.  If you purchased and the appliance can't be repaired after the assessment via messages you'll be refunded fully and promptly.

The whole process step by step:

  1. You have one of the symptoms listed, and buy this service on eBay (which includes return shipping cost).

  2. You send me your model number, symptoms, error codes (and any relevant pictures if you wish) for assessment.

  3. If the appliance can be serviced you will be sent information on disassembly and what to ship/where.

  4. If the appliance is not fixable under the service you get refunded at this point and the process stops.
  5. You ship to the provided address, send us the tracking info if you have it. US buyers ideally use USPS and customs declaration of $16USD total.

  6. We service test and ship out your components within 1 business day >98% of the time.

  7. Once received you reinstall the components, and can use your cooktop again! (hopefully without using boost on the large coil from now on to get a long life)

- If it is determined that the appliance is not repairable upon the initial messages, you will be refunded in full, no hassle and no long delays. (you will need to agree to the refund in messaging first)

- If you have a problem with a repaired components (causing the same issue) within 360 days of delivery (which is rare) please reach out, we will do some basic troubleshooting and if the component is the issue you will need to ship it back to in most cases for examination and then correction or refund at our discretion.  We do not issue refunds without being allowed to examine the part(s); this is to prevent fraud, to diagnose the failure point, and in some cases to warranty failed components with our parts suppliers.
