These images are crazy good. Taken in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Showing throngs of native Japanese people and students admiring the majestic Tosho-Gu Shrine in Nikko under the canopy of gigantic trees. I find these photos mesmerizing.

These are not prints ~ but images I captured from a roll of 35mm film negatives that haven't seen the light of day in almost 70 years. Hope someone else enjoys them as much as I do.

These images of the negatives were shot with a digital camera against a light table. The color, clarity, and detail in the negatives are sure to be much better than I've been able to show you with this method.
