Vaclav Neumann Mahler: Complete Symphonies Tower Records Limited SACD Hybrid NEW

Description

A project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Neumann's birth. A great legacy with the Czech Philharmonic, Mahler's complete symphonies are all set on SACD! The world's first SACD except for Nos. 1, 2 and 5. One of their representative recordings drawn with deep sympathy and persuasiveness for Mahler. The latest reproduction of the Czech Philharmonic recording with the best sound quality!

The second project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Neumann's birth. Great heritage by Vaclav Neumann (1920-95). Inheriting the tradition of Mahler playing in the Czech Republic, he portrays the world of Mahler's music as a Bohemian with deep empathy and persuasiveness. All songs are newly remastered this time. The beautiful sound of the Czech Philharmonic of the Golden Age is revived freshly. The analog sound source is directly converted to DSD from the original analog master in the home country. Digital sound sources Nos. 3, 8 and 9 have been up-converted by ORT mastering developed by our company (see the booklet for details) and converted to DSD. World's first SACD except for Nos. 1, 2 and 5. In 2014, a 14-disc BOX was released as a CD, but this time it is stored in 10 discs.

This complete collection is a recording of the Czech Philharmonic, which Neumann has been the chief conductor since 1968, and the Supraphon, which was fully completed from 1976 to 1982 over six years. It is a collection of 14 songs, including some of the songs that were recorded. Up to No. 4 recorded in October 1980 was recorded in analog, and then the three songs No. 3, No. 9, and No. 8 after December 1981 were recorded in digital recording. Neumann also recorded his previous job, the Gewandhaus Orchestra, and Mahler recorded three songs, Nos. 5-7 in the 1960s, and in his last years, the Czech Philharmonic and Canyon Classics, Nos. 1-6. And No. 9 7 songs were recorded from 1992 to a few days before his death, but it is incomplete. Neumann has played a lot of Mahler, including live performances, such as leaving three recordings for the two songs Nos. 5 and 6. It can be said that Mahler was as good as Kubelik among the conductors of the same generation from the former eastern side. In particular, it is extremely valuable in terms of complete recording just before the full-scale Mahler boom as a record, and the sound source that became an explosive boom after the transition from analog recording such as Tennstedt and Sinopoli to digital. In front of, the shadow was a little light at that time, but the original sound interpretation of Neumann and the beautiful sound and suppleness of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra combined to create the one and only Mahler image that can only be achieved by both. As a complete recording, it is a sound source that should be evaluated more now. Even in this reprint, the analog sound source is newly converted to DSD directly from the original analog master tape in the home country, so you can relive the experience beyond the conventional evaluation with unprecedented freshness and overwhelming range feeling. I can do it. The 3 songs Nos. 1, 2 and 5 were made into SACD on the original 4ch in 2006, but the other songs will be made into SACD for the first time.

Regarding the recording condition this time, the master tape was generally in excellent condition. You will be overwhelmed by the delicate presence of Supraphon and the richness of the overtones, including the feeling of hall. The texture of each instrument also fully conveys the situation of the orchestra at that time. The level of the sound source this time is particularly high, and even though it has been reproduced so far, this time it is the completion stage of analog recording, so it is a product that makes you feel the strength of the supraphon production team. Although the recording location is the same and the recording time is close except for some, the recording of each song was different. As a result, there were differences in the perspective, balance, dynamic range, etc. of the sound image, but with regard to analog recording, direct DSD conversion from the original analog master tape in the Czech home country was carried out with very careful work this time as well. Even on the recording data that arrived in Japan, detailed instructions for mastering and the characteristics of the sound source were listed. Even during this mastering, we are careful not to spoil the original atmosphere as much as possible. As a result, we were able to reproduce unprecedented resolution and atmosphere.

The recording is unique to Supraphon, and the warm sound with gloss in the high range is further refined, and the overtone components and the presence of the instrument are increased, and you can enjoy the sound with a clear view in every detail. The sound of the Supraphon label, which originally has a good texture, will be even more effective with the latest DSD. In addition to the unified tone of the violin part, the characteristic sounds of woodwinds and brass at that time are still wonderful to listen to.

In this project, for analog recording, we will use a completely new and directly converted DSD sound source from the original analog master tape owned by Supraphon in the Czech Republic, and master it for SACD. Production. After DSD mastering in Japan, it will be released as a SACD hybrid board. Recent technological advances in digitization (A / D conversion) have made it possible to extract master sound sources more sophisticatedly and precisely. You can enjoy the sound quality very close to the master with SACD. The CD layer also used the new DSD mastering sound source this time. Direct DSD with Supraphon is as well-established as before, and because of its high separation and resolution, you can immerse yourself in music more than ever with fine nuances and the feeling of being there. I think you can get the above impression. The effect is amazing, and the clear sound quality makes it possible to rediscover the true value of the sound source. And for the first time this time, some master sound sources recorded by PCM in the early days of digital used "ORT mastering" of Nippon Columbia (this technology has already been released in distribution, but it has been used on discs in the past. This is almost the first time since I used only a few songs of Japanese music exceptionally on a route that is not for general sale). DSD conversion is performed after restoring the rich tone and smoothness of the original musical sound and the sound of the hall.
