The stein depicted in this auction was made by Dr. Merkel Atelier firm from Germany.  The stein is porcelain & the size is  1.0 L with a very nice pewter lid with a figural pewter statue of a man & very unusual pewter thumb.  The stein is in mostly white  and in color.  There is no form number on the stein.  The name of the stein is Portrait of a Man and Portraits of various buildings in Germany. On the base is the painted DR. Merkel Atelier mark.  This stein would be a nice addition to a stein collection.
