1950s BRITISH ROYAL NAVY SICK BED/HAMMOCK 

This bed doubles up as a hammock as shown in the press photo. 
The hammock can be fitted with metal runners and stretchers to form a camp bed. 
Multipurpose Royal Navy sick bed/hammock and was used with the frame in the sick bay as a bed and if the patient didn't recover the bed frame would be removed and the ships sail maker would be called to sew them into their shroud before burial at sea. 
This item is an extremely rare example of pre war through to 1960s design. 
All 3 available are 1950s but markings are hard to read clearly to give exact years. 

Condition
The condition of this bed is in used condition. It does have marks on it including pen marks from storage and dirt.
