These are completely unused, factory-sealed Bach 6C cornet mouthpieces in
their original plastic bags.
These mouthpieces are all in perfect condition, but because they are from
older stock which has been in storage for some time, they may have some tarnish
on the silver plate.
This tarnish can be tough to shift with a dry cloth, but comes off effortlessly
with a little silver polish (we use Silvo for this purpose).
If you would like us to polish your mouthpiece for you before dispatching it,
please simply send us a message before you place an order. (To do this,
we will of course need to break the seal and open the plastic bag.)
Product Description
Product Description (copied from the Gear4Music website):
Note: This information is not directly from the manufacturer, but we have found
it to be accurate and helpful.
Medium Cup Depth and Diameter
This is the generic depth for mouthpieces and offers a cup size that is
suitable for all genres of playing in all registers of the instrument. This
mouthpiece enables the performer to get all the notes in the instrument with
minimal fuss. It is always recommended that a player should look to get the
widest cup diameter that they feel they can get away with. This in the long
term produces a better embouchure development and aids better intonation.
Medium-Wide Rim Shape
The 6C Mouthpiece has a medium-wide rim size, which is applicable to next to
all brass players. This allows the lips to move correctly on high and low notes
without it being too small thus cutting the lips, or too wide that it restricts
high notes. This mouthpiece offers a flat and rounded rim, which in turn offers
a sharper sound to instrument, similar to that of a C Trumpet.
Medium Throat
All Bach Standard Mouthpieces come with a Medium Sized Throat. This means that
it will produce an even response to all registers of the instrument.
Depth of Cup: Medium
Diameter of Cup: 16.20mm
Rim Shape: Medium-wide, not too wide and rather flat.
Throat Size: Medium (3.66mm)
