About the artist

Ellen Bedington was a member of the British Doll Artist Association BDA. She had always made dolls and miniatures fitting them where possible into her busy nursing career. having worked in the USA, India and England and with many ethnic students her dolls show this international background. On retiring from nursing she went into full time teaching of doll making. An early member of the BDA she  worked in most media but prefers porcelain and super sculpey Although dolls are taken from original molds sculpted by herself , they are all painted and dressed differently. She makes and finishes complete dolls but has sold kits to doll makers enabling them to put their own artistry to work on the dolls.She is the author of Make and clothe your own Dolls house dolls.
