This white 10oz ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of David Gilmour's 1954 White Fender Stratocaster #0001, from George Morgan.

The 1954 Fender Stratocaster 0001 has a white body, maple neck, three-way pick up selector, gold anodised pickguard and hardware. Apparently, the guitar originally belonged to Leo Fender who sold it to Seymour Duncan. Later it was purchased by Phil Taylor, from who David purchased it around 1976-77. First seen in 1978 on live promo clips for David's first solo album, it also featured in Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 and Paul McCartney’s Back to the Egg album. David also used it for his Strat Pack performance at Wembley Arena in 2004, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster. This guitar is one of the most notable in David's collection as it carries the 0001 serial number, although its origin continues to cause debate as it isn't clear whether this is the real 0001 Strat or not, as only the neck bears the 0001 serial number, which could have been taken from the original 0001 guitar.

The illustration of this famous Stratocaster is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research. This is not a photograph.

The guitar has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal domestic use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the house or studio.
