This white 10oz ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of David Gilmour's 1983 Candy Apple Red Fender Stratocaster, from George Morgan.

This 1983 '57 reissue Candy Apple Red Stratocaster is one of a number of Stratocasters purchased by David prior to his 1984 About Face tour, as he didn't want to risk taking his more valuable old instruments on the road. David had active EMG pickups fitted prior to performing with Bryan Ferry’s band at Live Aid in 1985. Used on Pink Floyd's Momentary Lapse of Reason tour in 1987 and then on the Division Bell tour in 1994, then used during the latter part of the 80's and throughout the 90’s as David made guest appearances with other artists and bands both on stage and albums. The guitar also featured on David’s 2006 On An Island tour and solo album.

The illustration of this famous Stratocaster is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research. This is not a photograph.

The guitar has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal domestic use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the house or studio.
