This white 10oz. ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of Bruce Springsteen's 1950's Fender Esquire.

Bruce Springsteen’s 1950’s butterscotch blonde Fender Esquire is the cover star from his Born to Run album and made subsequent appearances on the album covers of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Live 1975-85, Human Touch and Greatest Hits.

Purchased second-hand in the early 70’s, this famous Esquire is a ‘53 or ’54 model.  With the addition of the neck pickup the single-pickup Esquire looks like a two-pickup Telecaster. It’s illustrated here with the three-saddle bridge and steel base plate from the ’50s and early ’60s and the replacement tuners which were already fitted on the Born to Run album cover.

This illustration has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research and is not a photograph.

The image has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.

The durable nature of this printing process makes this mug ideal for use in the house or studio.
