This white 10oz ceramic mug is decorated with a highly detailed hand drawn illustration of Jimi Hendrix's 1967 Gibson SG Custom. Known widely for playing Fender Stratocasters, Jimi Hendrix did play a few Gibson’s including this 1967 Gibson SG Custom featuring three humbuckers, a large ‘bat-wing’ pick guard and vibrola. Appearing as a guest on American TV’s The Dick Cavett Show on September 9th 1969, Jimi used this SG Custom to perform Izabella and notably the premiere of Machine Gun. The illustration of this famous guitar is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research. This is not a photograph. The guitar has been dye sublimated onto the mug. This means the image is under the ceramic glaze and is dishwasher, microwave and UV-proof and with normal domestic use will not scratch, crack, fade or peel.
