This is a brand new 4 barrel carburetor base gasket and stainless steel heat shield plate for 364, 401, and 425 cubic inch Buick Nailhead Engines (1957 - 1966). This also fits 1965 - 1967 300 & 340 cubic Inch Buick Engines.

This is the correct gasket and heat plate for the Carter AFB carburetors. This heat plate is needed for use with the Carter AFB carburetors to protect the aluminum base from getting destroyed from the exhaust gases.

If you are running an Edelbrock carburetor, this is a must have for the same reason as above with the Carter AFB carburetor.

This can be used on the Rochester 4 Jet (4GC) but is not needed since it has a cast iron base.

The stainless steel heat plate goes against the base of the carburetor. The gasket goes between the plate and the intake manifold. This is a BEST brand gasket. This a nice gasket. This is a better carburetor base gasket than the Felpro brand. The last picture shows the Felpro gasket (grey) on top of the BEST gasket (red). The Felpro gasket is cut wrong and does not match the intake nor carburetor base. This can cause leakage issues especially with the Carter AFB carburetors as the Felpro gasket does not seal off the bottom of the carburetor correctly. If you need any other gaskets or any used engine parts, please see my other listings or ask. Please ask questions.
