Outstanding details and rather a large coin (larger than an American quarter & closer to a half dollar size). This is an insane genuine example of the famed Lion holding the great sought after shield of Spain (itself engraved with a king’s crowned lion and a castle) and a ruler on the obverse. Date is very clear. Not a reproduction. This coin came about in the later golden days of piracy when the Jolly Roger skull and crossbones flags sent terror through seafarers. It has great classic engravings.

My family received several Spanish coins quite a while back from an estate in Spain, mostly from the late 1500's & 1600's (Felippe III, XI & Louis era) & some in the 1800's. They are copper, gold toned & were found near beaches of several wrecks, according to my family members.
