FABULOUS PAIR OF DARBYSHIRE AUSTRALIAN POTTERY S&P SHAKERS
Presenting an exquisite pair of Australian Pottery spaniel dog shaped salt and pepper shakers produced by Darbyshire.
Each of these adorable figural shakers have been beautifully modelled into the freestanding shape of a spaniel dog and richly glazed in naturalistic golden brown and cream tones with hand painted facial features. Each of these delightful dogs is captured in a charming pose with one leg raised and head poised as if looking at the viewer.
SIZE: Each shaker stands approx 60mms tall, measures 65mms in length and 35mms in width.
CONDITION: Each of these shakers are presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. The original cork stopper remains in place to each of the shakers. These pieces have been very well cared for and present beautifully.
MARKS: The original "Darbyshire Ware" label remains in place to the base of one of the shakers. This fine set is a true pair with one hole to the top of the salt and four to the top of the pepper.
