Century English hand painted folk art trumeau style wall mirror. Covered in
aged gold gilt motif leather on wood, detailed with brass studs and a wonderful
hand painted folk art hunting scene at its crown. Original backing section
still in place, in complete untouched condition with aged repairs to the base
executed respectfully. A wonderful and highly decorative country house object,
recently uncovered in a country estate in the north of England.

Period: 19th Century
Material: Wood / Leather
Origin: England
Condition: Aged
Completely solid in structure and form, please expect age
related wear across all this item as the images aim to illustrate, this item is
a true antique and over 150 years old. For its age, this item is in overall good
condition. With a deep natural patination across all its surface, with fading
and frayed leather as you may expect. We feel the mirror plate is original to
the frame as the reverse does not seem to have been open since it was formed. The
mirror is in particularly good condition considering its age and is slightly
faded to the edges sections where it meets the frame. The bottom section has aged
repairs but done professionally and well executed. Its exceedingly difficult to
photograph all the areas in this piece, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing
all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where
sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
