Background / Quality

I have been a book collector for more than 45 years.  As we prepare to become empty nesters and downsize, I am selling off all the books I have collected over the years.  I was the pickiest acquirer around.  I’d often go to many bookstores when I couldn’t locate a blemish free copy of a book at my local store.  I read less than 10% of the books I collected.  When I did read a book, I’d barely spread the book open so as to avoid spine stress (What can I say, I was a geek).  Often, the book would simply go into storage.  Books that I acquired new have been stored in a smoke-free environment, always.  As a result, I have accumulated some really nice copies of books published up to 50 years ago.

The photos on this listing have been taken in such a way as to disclose the few flaws that there may be in our books.  We are happy to provide more information/photos upon request.

Pricing

We’ve done everything we can to preserve the “newness” of the books we offer for sale.  So, unless the “collectability” of a particular book has driven its market price range higher than cost (as shown in prior ebay auctions), we try to offer the books at a modest discount to new (approximately 10%).

Shipping

All purchases will be well protected for shipment.  We’ve shipped 100’s of collectible items over the years (books, art, figurines, action figures), and haven’t yet had a shipping damage claim (knocking on wood with one hand while I type this).

International Buyers

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges.  These charges are the buyer's responsibility and are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up.  Due to U.S. regulations, items will NOT be shipped as gifts.  The customs form will describe the item and the total value paid.
