The Imperial volute aka Cymbiola Imperialis is a member of the Volutidae family of predatory sea snails that range in size from 9 mm to over 500 mm. 
The volutes have beautifully marked spiral shells (voluta is Latin for scroll) that are popular with collectors. 
The 'Imperial volute' can grow up to 250 mm and is found in the shallow tropical waters of the Philippines.
