I purchased many Ethan Allen products years ago on clearance with the intention of turning them into furniture products to resell.  These were being sold as floating media shelves or a connecting piece that was part of an entertainment center I believe as these are designed with openings in the back of them.  These are made of solid wood and are very heavy.  It is a well crafted, quality piece of furniture by Ethan Allen.  I thought the best usage for these would be to add some hairpin legs to the bottom of these and sell them as writing desks.  

The dimensions of these are 42 3/4" L x 15 7/8" D x 7 1/2" H.  The opening in the front when the door is opened is 37 1/2" W x 4" H.
