X-Tube technology was first introduced in the Silver Anniversary XT cables, which is the most highly awarded mid-range cable in the world, winning the What Hi-Fi Product of the Year three years in a row. The X Tube technology has also been employed with the multi-award-winning XT40 speaker cable.

These cables are built with a braided structure, the conductors are in a ring, formed into separate bundles with only a loose electrical association between them, they are then twisted into a 90mm layer. By designing the cables in such a way, QED ensures that no single conductor bundle remains on the inside or the outside of the cable long enough to become an audible issue. The result of the design choices us that the signal distribution is consistent which gives you a very accurate musical reproduction.

To produce a cable that is an improvement over other competitively priced cables, in their own range or a competitors’, without increasing the size or flexibility of the cable, the cross-sectional area (CSA) of XT25 has been increased to 2.5mm2 with 99.999% oxygen-free copper. The design of the XT25 creates a new cable with low DC resistance and a substantially more accurate musical representation.

QED's research has revealed that low capacity cables are preferred in listening tests over high capacitance cables because low-loss dielectrics have been used. Using LDPE and carefully controlling conductor spacing results in a cable with very low capacitance as a function of length and a dissipation factor (loss tangent) of 0.0001 at 10,000Hz

We ship all our orders from depot in the heart of Birmingham.
We provide FREE next day delivery on all of our UK orders, so long as you complete your order before 2pm (Monday - Thursday, Excluding Bank holidays).  Orders placed on a Friday morning will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.

  • For our UK orders we use DPD Couriers (Next Day Delivery) who provide a personal tracking numbers with a one-hour delivery slot on the day of delivery. For smaller UK orders we use Royal Mail (1st Class).
  • For our international orders we employ eBays Global Shipping Programme (GSP). Which is highly recommended for its costs and efficiency. All the international orders are sent to a GSP depot here in the UK, before onward international shipping. You will get emails updating you on the progress of your order throughout the delivery process

We do not allow local pick-up for eBay orders, but if this is necessary please contact us prior to making your purchase and we can make arrangements for you.

For combined shipping you will need to add the items to your basket before paying for them, and then we will send them out together. For international orders eBay GSP calculates the shipping cost, which normally charges extra for additional items based on weight.

  • We will always aim to do the best to resolve any issues
  • We will only pay the return delivery costs if the item was delivered wrong or it is faulty out of the box.
  • Any valid purchase made from us that carries a warranty, is ONLY valid in the UK. Therefore, if you have any problem that is covered by your warranty, you will have to return the item to us in the UK, at your cost.

For Returns:

  • The returns process must be started within 30 days of your initial order.
  • We ask all items that are returned to us be wrapped in outer material (brown paper, plastic, clear wrap, black wrap or anything similar) complete with their original packaging.
  • Any items that are damaged or have parts and accessories missing will be subject to a re-stocking fee or in some cases even rejected.
  • Please ensure you contact us before returning the item to obtain a returns reference.
  • You must also ensure you include your name, eBay ID, and the reason for the return; it will speed up the refund process.
  • All of the refunds are processed with the same payment method as the original purchase.
