About Us

We really love what we do. Being able to help you discover the most beautiful statues and elegant ornaments is a privilege & one that we thoroughly enjoy. Burgess Home & Garden was established by husband & wife team, Harri & Romina Burgess. Our goal was simple; source & create the highest quality stoneware you can find anywhere in the UK. We focus on the detail & intricacies in our designs & only use the highest quality materials. This way, we can ensure that everything we provide will last a lifetime. We’ve also been able to develop a range of fantastic, galvanised planters (which are incredibly well finished), resin sculptures, as well as all the distinctive garden ornaments we’re known for! Since our inception, we’ve been thrilled to be able to interact with each one of our customers and help them with whatever project they’re in the midst of! You are what makes us, ‘us’, so we’re always really excited to hear from you. If you need anything at all, we’re here to help.

Shipping

When you place an order, you can expect it to be dispatched within 24 hours. We use a few different couriers to make sure you get the best service possible. Orders weighing under 2kg will be dispatched with Royal Mail 48. Orders weighing between 3-30kg will be dispatched with Parcelforce, on a 24-hour service. Orders weighing more than 30kg will be sent on a pallet, using a 48-hour service with Palletways. We’re incredibly dedicated to getting you your order as soon as possible. So, all our products come with FREE & FAST DELIVERY to mainland UK addresses. We can often get your order to you the day after you placed it! Unfortunately, there are unavoidable courier surcharges for any delivery address within the Highlands & Islands. A £12 surcharge will apply to the following postcodes: IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17- 26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE AB31, AB33-38, AB45, AB52-56, FK17-21 A £30 surcharge will apply to the following postcodes: BT, IM, TR21-25 If you would like a pallet shipped to a Highland or Island address, get in touch for a delivery quote. We’re able to ship anywhere in the world. Please feel free to send us your details if you would like a delivery quote, wherever you are! Pallets: We pack our pallets very carefully & can get an awful lot onto one. Please be very careful when opening them as items can move and fall as packaging is taken away. Please note free pallet delivery is to your front door only or to the nearest safe location that we can unload the order from our vans. Someone will need to be home to take delivery of the order. Pallets can only be manoeuvred on a flat, level surface! Freight drivers are only contracted to bring pallets as close as they safely can to your front door. They are often very helpful and will do their best for you however they are not contracted to unload or move the pallet within your garden. Returns

We have a quibble free returns policy. If you’re not happy with what you ordered, you are welcome to return new products within 28 days of delivery for a full refund. If there are any problems with your order, including damages, imperfections, wrong item sent etc, let us know as soon as you can, and we will sort it out for you ASAP. We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error or organise a replacement to be sent out free of charge. Unfortunately, we cannot offer free returns for orders that you no longer want or have changed your mind about. You will be responsible for paying any return costs of these orders.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in the vast majority of cases, you will receive a refund within days. When returning an item, especially stone, please make sure you package it up very carefully. We suggest using the original packaging and box the item was shipped in as it must arrive back to us in good condition in order for you to be refunded.

Environmental

Ethics & the environment: We at Burgess Home & Garden are devoted to minimising the impact of our activities on the environment. To achieve this, we: Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our customers and suppliers. Simply put, we reuse as much packaging as we can & only purchase packing materials that are made, at least partly, from recycled materials. This may mean that your parcel can look rather unconventional however it will be very, very secure! Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible. Efficiency is key here and we’re very careful that nothing goes to waste. Anything we cannot reuse; we find a home for! Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution. 100% of our stoneware is made within the UK using ethically sourced British stone of the highest quality. Indeed, many of our products are also sourced locally to us in Wales. Despite all of this, we know that there is always more that can be done.
