This is a matched set of
casters / wheels for antique furniture.
These probably date to late 1800’s.
Each wheel is 1.5” Diameter x ½” Wide.
The shank is a tapered cone measuring 2.5”, excluding the bracket
holding the wheel. The bracket holding
the wheel is ½” deep (so if I measure the back end metal, it is a total of 3” –
2.5” Shank + 0.5” Bracket). Approximate
diameter where shank meets bracket is ½”.
The diameter at the top of the shank is ¼”.
Condition: No chips or
cracks. Spots of rust staining which I
doubt would come out. Free surface
dirt. Shanks and brackets have surface
rust, but not anything I see that would impede the structural stability of the
wheels. Pins holding wheels into bracket
are stable and well attached.
No reason these would
not work for your DIY project.
Unpacked weight: 13 oz.
Always happy to pass
through discounts on combined shipping. Please ask me for specific
quote if you feel shipping cost is too high. I only charge actual
postage, and always use recycled packing materials.
Note some photos appear
redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On
symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no
distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views.
The item listed is being
sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge. If
you have a question on an item prior to purchase, please ask. Remember,
when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have
been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be
commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean
all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My
goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
