Vintage 50s Japanese Demitasse Cups, Violets, Gold Trim, With Spoon handpainted.

These are the sweetest little demitass cups, decorated and violets trimmed and gold on top and bottom edges... They are light, delicate and have the feel of bone china.

All that and a matching spoon.

I don't believe the spoon is original to the cups.   It has a very similar pattern but it is not hand painted as the cups are, and a little big for demitasse cups.

These were produced in Japan as per the sticker on the bottom by ewm, I defunct company believed to have been a distributor out of New York New York during the 40s and 50s.
