This is the cigarette lighter socket or power outlet plug in the center console of your MINI Cooper.  These are easily broken as there is just two plastic tabs that hold it in and often it will just pull out of the console.  Genuine MINI parts not aftermarket.

Sold as seen in the picture as the lighter socket and the plastic orange luminous ring.
