This is an antique skyscraper or school house style ceiling light fixture with its original 11 1/2  inch diameter cased glass fluted globe.  The fixture and globe were removed by an architectural salvage company from a 1930`s or 40`s  building being torn down.

The fixture is all steel and updated in satin stainless metallic coatings and paints.   The globe is spectacular because of its fluted sections. The globe is very solid and weighs about 6 1/2 pounds by itself.

From the ceiling to the bottom of the globe the light measures 13 inches tall.  The globe at the widest is 11 1/2 inches in diameter.  The fixture mounts flush to the ceiling by a newly added cross bar and a threaded rod installed to mount the light to an outlet box.

Please see the soda can for size reference.  This is a substantial fixture and would look great indoors and even outdoors under a covered porch if desired.
