DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice antique lamp base with a BROKEN Glass reverse painted shade (see photos). The lamp is from a very nice estate (see photos). The lamp has a metal lamp base (see photos). The lamp has an original reverse painted glass lamp shade that has been badly broken (see photos). The lamp base is not marked by the maker. I have been told that the lamp and shade are by Pittsburgh lamp company. The lamp shade has a nice hand painted American landscape painting (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The item in total as shown with the shade on measures about 17.5 inches high and it is about 6.5 inches wide at the base of the lamp. The lamp base alone measures about 10+ inches high and it is about 4 and 3/8th inches wide at the base. The glass shade alone measures in total about 6 inches high and it is about 10.5 inches wide at the base of the shade. The lamp is sold in as found estate condition (see photos). The lamp shade is badly cracked. I am going to use blue painter's tape to secure the shade when shipping. The lamp has a front panel that could be faced to the front so you could use the lamp. I am selling the lamp base and I am including the glass shade for free with purchase of the lamp base. I assign no value to the lamp shade, but it would be nice if it could continue it's useful life with a new owner. The lamp base has some signs of wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice antique lamp base with a damaged reverse painted glass shade glass lamp to add to your collection.
