Stainless Exo-Frame Leather-Soft* French-Swiss Loveseat in Black,

What is LeatherSoft?
Simply put, LeatherSoft is a high quality brand of bonded leather. Bonded leather is an alternative to top-grain leather and is used on office chairs, sofas, and other furniture for several reasons which we will outline in a moment. Bonded leather is made by combining leather scraps and fabric with polyurethane and other bonding agents. Alternatively, top-grain leather is pure leather from the top layer of an animal’s hide. Top-grain leather is reserved for high-end furniture and is not often seen anymore in everyday furniture.
So how is LeatherSoft unique?
As mentioned, bonded leather is made and manufactured. This means that each factory has a different recipe, and therefore quality can different significantly from one bonded leather to the next. Generic bonded leather has become the “Wild, Wild, West” of upholstery – you never know if you’re getting a good or awful recipe. Because of this, several manufacturers worked together to create a top quality bonded leather for their customers. They gave it the name LeatherSoft so that it would be recognized for its reputation as the leading bonded leather.
How is LeatherSoft different than other bonded leathers?
More real leather used per square foot
Avoids unnecessary bonding agents that break down over time
Softer, and ultimately more comfortable
Will not fade or flake
Does not get hot like vinyl or low quality bonded leathers
Difficult to puncture
Why is it used?
Most people think LeatherSoft is used because it is cheaper than top-grain leather. While this is a benefit, this actually isn’t the main reason for its use. LeatherSoft is used because:
· Top-Grain/Genuine Leather has several cons.
· LeatherSoft is the highest quality substitute for genuine leather.
The truth is, genuine leather is a terrible choice for high traffic environments like offices, homes with children & pets, restaurants, etc. because it is expensive and can be damaged easily. Have you ever scratched leather with your fingernail? It leaves a mark. In a high traffic environment, it isn’t long until you have scrape marks all over your precious leather. Have you ever seen a leather couch start to crack at the seams over time? Genuine leather is notorious for drying out and cracking – a recipe for disaster. To prevent these issues, you have to care for leather regularly, which is something most people just don’t have time for.
LeatherSoft doesn’t leave scrape marks like traditional leather. It also will not crack over time – and there’s no need to treat it regularly either. Even at a lower cost, LeatherSoft will last longer than top-grain leather in any high traffic environment, which makes it an optimal choice of upholstery. In addition, LeatherSoft isn’t as stiff as genuine leather and is more comfortable for sitting.
The second reason is because it is simply the best alternative to top-grain leather. Vinyl gets hot and flakes over time. PU leather contains no leather at all and is entirely artificial. Bonded leather has a range of qualities as mentioned previously, which leaves LeatherSoft – a well known high quality bonded leather.
Is LeatherSoft right for you? If you’re in a high traffic environment, then yes. If you have pets and children, yes. If you’re in a commercial setting, yes. But if you have the money, the time to care for it, and will be using it in a low traffic environment, genuine leather is a good choice. For the majority, LeatherSoft will provide the best long-term durability, affordable price, and comfort.

FREIGHT DELIVERY:
Your furniture is individually boxed or packaged in foam and is delivered strapped to one, or a number of pallets. Once it arrives to your home town, you'll get a phone call to schedule a delivery appointment for the next business day or as soon as you can accept it thereafter (usually a 4-hour window where you need to be present at the time of delivery to inspect product packaging for potential damage prior to signing a release form). Your advertised price only includes the driver pulling up to the end of your driveway in a big semi-truck and moving the pallet(s) with your order to the back of the trailer. From that point, the driver should unwrap your order from the pallet(s) into its individual packaging or boxes. You will then need to move each individually boxed or packaged piece from the back of the trailer and into your home. Large furniture can be heavy and cumbersome so be sure to have your kids, family, neighbors, friends, pets, etc. Available to help. If you don't own a flat bed hand truck (dolly), we strongly recommend renting one. If you would like to add an optional lift gate service to your order (not automatically included at our advertised price), where the driver will off-load your pallet(s) from the back of the truck and onto the ground using a hydraulic lift gate & pallet jack please let us know. Still, from that point on the ground, you’ll need to get the item(s) into your home. However, some drivers may, at your request, roll the pallet(s) up your driveway and into your garage (as long as your driveway isn’t a mile long, up a hill, or made of gravel). There are also upgraded delivery services like ‘inside first dry area’ – also known as ‘threshold’; ‘room of choice’ (includes up to 2 staircases); ‘room of choice and packaging removal’; and ‘room of choice, packaging removal and basic tools with light assembly’ (up to 30 minutes). Let us know if you'll need additional delivery service beyond 'back-of-truck' after placing your order so we can offer that additional service. Finally, once shipped, we will email specific delivery and acceptance guidelines which must be followed to validate insurance coverage.
