Notes: Sterling condition copy of a special issue of Lettrism, Nouvelle Serie, comprising Nos. 18-19-20-21-22, compiled by Isidore Isou, published in 1971 by Maurice Lemaître, Editeur, in Paris. Measuring 7 1/2" x 11" in width and height, respectively, and reading as a journal issue article, Unnumbered copy of the Bouffant Edition, likely, with another 50 copies having been printed on Velin D'Arches papier. Simple printed card stock wraps, in gate-fold. Double-column texts in French. Comprised of both a summation and an avant-propos of sorts, a discoursing upon 20th-century French literature, art, social movements and psychotherapy. Isidore Isou (29 January 1925 – 28 July 2007) was born Isidor Goldstein of French Jew parents in Romania, and became influential in Dadaist and Surrealist art circles, becoming in the process, according to a Wikipedia entry about him, a "poet, dramaturge, novelist, film director, [and] economist." He is credited with the founding of "Lettrism" and greatly supported and provided intellectual cover the student revolts of 1968. Frontis matter + 199 [1] pp.
