About Gort
The Gort China Company was started by brothers Eric and Walter Gort in Metuchen, New Jersey in 1944. Together they produced some of highest quality bone china in America. They generally produced small editions of varying subject matter. The factory was not in business long. Closing in around 1955 due to low cost foreign imports.
