On the frontal side in Arabic : "ninth Pan Arab Games 1999 Al Hussein Pan" this Pan were meant to be at 1999 but the king dies early at the same year so this was the last Pan to hold his name ever .  

And it was very special pan were Kuwait refused to send athletes to the event on the grounds that Iraq was participating
