Up for sale is ONE unused Wooden "Nickel" from the 1940 New York State Fair. That year was the 100th anniversary of the fair and the nickels were given out as souvenirs. These nickels were made of thick cardstock and rectangular in shape which was a popular thing in the 1930s and 40s.

There were 4 different series given out, this is from series 4.

Nickel is uncirculated and near mint! No dirt or marks. Just light wear from storage. Completely original, no repros! The nickel pictured is one that I have available for sale, but may not be the exact one you receive. All are in similar unused condition.

1 or 2 lots will be shipped safely between layers of cardstock at the letter rate. 3 or more will ship as a first class package.

A great piece of New York State history. Over 75 years old!!!
