We offer a pedestal bowl manufactured by Reinhold Schlegelmich Porcelain Factory. The bowl is marked "RS Prussia" with the red mark used from 1870 to 1918.
Our pedestal bowl is decorated with floral bouquets of white and yellow blossoms overlaid with delicate gilt oak leaves, solid and in outline, which are repeated as a classical border along the upper rim. Three bouquets are spaced along the inner surface of the bowl.
The porcelain is eggshell thin and translucent. In the photographs, the shadow of the inner rose can be seen on the outside of the bowl and the shadow of the RS Prussia mark can be seen on the inside of the bowl.
The pedestal bowl measures 4" in height with an upper diameter of 8 1/4" and a base diameter of 4 5/8".
The pedestal bowl is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs.

DURING HER 50 YEARS AS A MEMBER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, SHE SERVED AS REGENT OF THE CORPUS CHRISTI CHAPTER AND AS CHAIR OF THE HISTORICAL PRESERVATION COMMITTEE OF ITS TEXAS SOCIETY. SHE ALSO SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE CLARA DRISCOLL CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS AND AS PRESIDENT OF THE OLD BAYVIEW CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL SOCIETY UNITED STATES DAUGHTERS OF 1812.
