Traditionally, the Native American style flute is played extemporaneously - 'off the cuff.' But some people want some help to start their adventure with their flute, and this book can fill that need, can help a person confidently learn the fingerings while playing some beautiful music at the same time. You do not have to be able to read music to play these songs. The graphics are pictures of the flute's holes, with dark circles indicating which holes need to be covered with the fingers in order to produce the proper tone. The graphics are mirror images of where your fingers need to be on your flute. The songs are such that you might well find yourself humming them through the day.
