Opal is inherently difficult to photograph and illustrate the color play of the stone. The pictures are up-close to show detail and can make the size of the opal look bigger than it actually is. Please refer to the measurement specifications to get an accurate understanding of the size.

I aim to take as accurate pictures as possible. Before each shoot, the camera is white balanced for accurate colors and a daylight lamp is used as the light source for consistency. I try to include at least one picture taken in real sunlight as it provides the most accurate color representation.
