The de Laurence Company Inc. Chicago, .Special Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. "Original Plates, Seals, Charms and Talismans. Translated from Ancient Manuscripts in the British Museum, London. By S. Liddell Mac Gregor Mathers. Prepared for Publication Under The Editorship of L. W. de Laurence".  The work itself states 1914 and, at the end of the preface 1916. Samuel MacGregor Liddell Mathers, was a British occultist. He is primarily known as one of the founders of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, a ceremonial magic order of which offshoots ( like the OTO) still exist. He became so synonymous with the order that Golden Dawn scholar Israel Regardie observed in retrospect that "the Golden Dawn was MacGregor Mathers." Condition is Near Fine - I almost never will use "Fine" for a book, but this is as close as it gets - Absolutely beautiful! Sharp Corners, tight and square binding, clean and bright boards, content also immaculate. An amazing copy of a super important Powerful occult book that is exceedingly difficult to find. Scarce! I recently acquired a large collection, so please check my store for further occult, eastern religion, and estoric philosophy to be listed very soon!
