NOTES: Appears to be ink and wax on Paper / Clear Contact Paper, mounted on board and matted. This piece is not signed, but does have the artist's studio stamp / sticker on the front, with address. Having come directly to Big C & The Cosmos from the artist's estate liquidation, prospective buyers should feel confident this is an artist's original. It was acquired in a lot that included other examples of her artwork, both from her studio and while as a student at UCLA. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Leslie Perlis (1951 - 2021) was internationally recognized for her art glasswork. She moved to San Diego in the sixth grade and graduated in 1968 from Point Lome High School, receiving an art degree from UCLA. Leslie became a pioneer in the studio glass movement celebrating color and original design, in helping to breathe new life into an art form that dates back over a thousand years. Also an author, "Dimensional Mosaics With Fused & Painted Glass Elements", and teacher, Leslie's credits include the stained glass windows at Nati’s Mexican Restaurant, Point Loma Presbyterian Church, Sunset Hills Elementary and Dana Middle schools, the Brigantine Restaurant, as well as the chapel at Lawrence Family Jewish Center in La Jolla. Her work appears in private homes, synagogues and churches throughout San Diego and across the United States. Perlis was a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Art Glass Association of Southern California.

CONDITION: Very Good Plus (VG+) condition. Some discoloration on the black mat. See pictures for details.
