anuary 8, 1961 - September 25, 2015 Michael David Glass, 54, passed September 25 at Barlow Respiratory Hospital, due to heart failure. He had suffered three devastating strokes over the past seven years, which contributed to his declining health. Mike was born January 8, 1961 in Watts in South Central Los Angeles. His father was a minister in a storefront church.

His mother was a homemaker. He attended public school in Los Angeles and later, Cal Arts where he received a BFA in 1984. He worked at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) in downtown Los Angeles, and exhibited his fine art photography in the show, "Against Nature." He managed the Amok bookstore, worked at Arcana Books in Santa Monica and taught photography at Otis College.

An occasional actor, Mike appeared in the films, "Ding Dong" and "Hustler White." Perhaps his greatest legacy was introducing his friends and club-goers to classic soul, disco and R & B, as a DJ at nightclubs (Mr. T's Bowl, Akbar, The Garage) and house parties.

He leaves behind scores of friends who will miss this brilliant conversationalist, bon vivant and charming man.
