Antique Sevres style porcelain inkwell.

France, circa 1900.

This is a PRETTY and UNUSUAL porcelain inkwell or “ vide pocket “.

The center plate HAND painted and decorated with cherubs holding fruit, and signed lower right A B Sevres ( or FB Sevres ).

The attached bowl also HAND painted and decorated with 2 doves.

The lid also HAND painted and decorated with flowers.

A very unusual and HAND chiseling silver overlay, highly detailed with excellent work and details covering most of the piece.

The silver border are gold washed, as well as the top of the lid, which gives more elegance and luxury to the piece.

Very nice shape and design.

White background color.

Marked at verso with Sevres mark in blue.

Condition report :

I cleaned it, cleaned the silver and waxed it.

A very tiny missing piece from the silver overlay ( see last photo ), not noticeable because of the heavy work.

Clean and ready to be placed.

No chips, cracks or any damage.
