The images are simply remarkable - moody and edgy, wild and dynamic. Exquisitely printed and designed, with nearly 100 full-page images of frozen and windswept expanses, roiling surf, ominous clouds, thatched roof dwellings, horse carts, villagers braving the elements. A major body of work, betraying a darkness and experimentalism that would inform the Provoke generation of Japanese photographers. My highest recommendation. In excellent condition.
