Photograph Notes: The ground floor of the Alexandra Hotel [[252352]] is notable for its ceramic frontage. This picture shows the Ropery Street doorway. The Landlord told me that the Star of David motive arises from the fact that the Pub was built on the site of a Synagogue. Immediately adjacent to the East is the old Jewish cemetery [[252373]].
