Dimensions of the fetish of 19.5 x 5.5 x 5 cms.
Materials: Wood, natural pigments.
Presumed seniority: More than 30 years.

This "Aklama" fetish is a ritual object of the voodoo cult used by the Adangbe/Ada-speaking Ewé of Ghana, on the edge of Togo. The piece displays a circular body, with the arms detached from the trunk. The patina presents a different color and appearance between the head and the rest of the body. The piece is fixed on the wooden base visible in the photos.

These statuettes represent the various deities linked to hunting, which are also common to the Yoruba and Ewe.
