First and second photos are the front and back of the basket, while the 3rd shows it open.
The 4th photo shows the cleverly woven handle, and the ‘locking’ mechanism:
There are two slots at the front of the lid, and woven loops secured to the basket; the loops push up through the slots, and there should be a wooden dowel which pushes through the two loops, to secure the lid.
UNFORTUNATELY, one of the woven loops is missing (the left one, as you look at the 4th photo); and there is no dowel to push through the loops – so a little restoration, and/or ingenuity, is needed.
In lovely condition. except for the missing loop and dowel.
Hence the low starting price.
